VK -Virginia Key Beach Park

Virginia Key is an amazing spot for foilers of all levels. The offshore reef provides an easy launch with relatively protected, flatter water inside, while outside the reef you can find enjoyable ocean swell and livelier conditions. The spot works best with southeast, east, and north-northeast winds. North Point and the dog beach area are popular places for rigging and launching. Check the forecast before going, especially when winds may turn offshore; on those days, nearby Hobie Beach may be a better choice. Virginia Key is generally open daily from 7:00 AM until sunset.
