Alaçatı offers reliable N/NW Meltemi winds (15–22+ knots) from May to October, featuring flat, shallow water with sandy launch zones. Summer wind builds reliably late morning and stays steady into late afternoon. Side-shore from the left makes launches easy and safe. After 100 to 200 m water gets deep and wind becomes noticeably strong ideal for advanced riders. Several places offer teaching and good equipment for rental. • Water is flat to small chop inside the bay. Sandy bottom in most launch zones; watch the depth close to shore depending on mast length (80–85 cm works great, but watch shallow launch zones). • Season: May through October provides the highest wind reliability. • The bay gets busy mid-day with windsurfers during summer due to school for children. Taxi out away from the beach entry area before powering up on foil. • The flat, non-choppy water inside the bay makes it ideal for learning There are few good places to eat or drink for day brake.
