Mountain Island Lake is in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the drinking water supply for the city of Charlotte. The lake is part of the Catawba river chain. The lake is 15 miles long and is mostly undeveloped nature preserve. With no commercial buildings and marinas it is the quietest lake in the region making it great for efoiling and wakefoiling.
