Privacy Statement
This Privacy Statement explains how FoilersHub, Florida, United States ("FoilersHub," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you browse FoilersHub.com, submit feedback, create or manage a listing, share Local Knowledge, upload photos, or otherwise interact with the website.
1. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use FoilersHub.
- Public listing information: listing or business name, description, category, city, region, country, contact email, telephone or WhatsApp details, website and map links, services, amenities, dates, photos, logos, and other information submitted for a listing.
- Listing management and verification information: listing identifiers, verification method, owner contact details, status, and information needed to create, review, verify, edit, or remove a listing.
- Feedback: the message and feedback type you submit, plus your name and email address if you choose to provide them.
- Local Knowledge contributions: a proposed or existing foiling place, map link, Experience text, optional display name, private contributor email, consent confirmation, and any photos you choose to upload. Approved Experience text, display name, and photos may be published; contributor email remains private.
- Visitor analytics: page type and path, content identifier and title, general traffic source, device category, anonymous session identifier, date and time, and interactions with website, map, WhatsApp, telephone, or email links.
- Listing-owner workflow analytics: events such as opening the join page, beginning or saving a listing, verification, or editing. These older workflow records may include an IP address, owner email address, listing or category identifier, page, and event time.
- Technical records: our web host, security provider, and other infrastructure providers may automatically process server-log information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, timestamps, and security events.
FoilersHub does not currently collect email addresses for a newsletter.
2. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve FoilersHub.
- Create, review, publish, verify, update, and remove listings and Local Knowledge contributions.
- Display listing details to the public and connect visitors with listed businesses, services, destinations, events, and resources.
- Respond to feedback, questions, support needs, and privacy requests.
- Understand which pages and resources are useful and measure interactions with public links.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot problems, protect the website, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Analytics and local browser storage
FoilersHub uses a first-party visitor analytics system. It creates a random identifier in your browser's sessionStorage. This identifier generally lasts only for the browser tab or browsing session and helps us estimate visits without creating a user profile.
The visitor analytics system does not intentionally store a visitor's name, email address, precise location, or IP address. It records general source categories such as direct, internal, Google, Bing, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or other. It may record the destination URL when you select a public contact or external website link.
Separate, older analytics used for the business-owner listing workflow may store IP addresses and owner email addresses as described above. FoilersHub does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising trackers.
Some browsers offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because FoilersHub does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party behavioral advertising trackers, the website does not change its first-party operational analytics in response to these signals.
4. Public information
FoilersHub is a public directory. Information submitted for publication—including contact details, locations, descriptions, website links, and images—may be visible to anyone, indexed by search engines, and copied or shared by others. Please submit only information you are authorized and comfortable making public.
5. Service providers and external services
We may use hosting, database, storage, security, email-delivery, and technical service providers to operate FoilersHub. Listing photos are uploaded and stored using Cloudflare-based services. These providers may process information on our behalf according to their own infrastructure and privacy terms.
FoilersHub also links to services operated by others, including business websites, Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and other resources. If you follow an external link, that service may collect information under its own privacy policy. FoilersHub does not control those external services.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- Publicly, when it is submitted as part of a published listing or public resource.
- To service providers that help us host, store, secure, maintain, or operate the website.
- When reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; protect rights, safety, and security; or investigate misuse.
- As part of a merger, transfer, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of FoilersHub, subject to appropriate notice where required.
FoilersHub does not sell personal information for money and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this statement, including operating the directory, maintaining listing history, resolving disputes, protecting the service, and meeting legal obligations. Visitor analytics reports are designed around periods of up to 90 days, although underlying technical records may be retained longer until they are deleted or no longer needed. Public listing information may remain available until the listing is updated or removed, and residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, or search-engine indexes.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you or a listing you control. You may also ask questions about how we handle information. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights.
Email [email protected] with enough information for us to understand and verify your request. We may need to confirm your identity or authority over a listing before acting. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
Public information already copied by others or indexed by a search engine may remain outside FoilersHub's direct control after we remove it from our own active pages.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No website, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
FoilersHub is a general-audience directory and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.
11. International visitors
FoilersHub is operated from Florida, United States. If you access the website from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
12. Changes to this statement
We may update this Privacy Statement as FoilersHub changes. We will post the revised statement on this page and update the date above. Material changes may be highlighted on the website when appropriate.
